Forum: movies Subject: Newest uploads in "Ephemeral Films" are hobbled

The newest "Ephemeral Films" files are clearly derived from 4:3 sources - but they're encoded as 16:9 video files. This pillar-boxes the image. The videos are 640 X 360, with a usable image area of 490 X 360. They are barely useful for re-purposing at this size. Other videos at archive.org are 640 X 480 or greater full frame videos. What is the point of digitizing and uploading these things if they're of a postage-stamp size more suited to 1996-era web video?
